TITLE: Technology Analyst / Network Administrator
REPORTS TO: Chief Information Officer
JOB GOAL: To help with the efficient operation of all technological operations associated with the district’s workstations, network, server systems, and applications responsible for the e-mail, student attendance and reporting, cafeteria programs, financial data, internet access and control.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a variety of skilled and technical duties related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment; schedule repairs or installations.
- Integration and operation of above operating systems with various printers, projectors, and multimedia devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance on hardware and peripherals (printers, multimedia equipment, etc.)
- Move equipment to new locations as requested; reroute and install cables for the new location; test system to assure proper operation.
- Maintain records of computer repairs, materials used, moving and installation activities and work orders; maintain records of maintenance supplies used.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent, College experience is preferred, Technical Certifications are preferred.
- Both certifications and practical working knowledge within the following platforms and operating systems: Windows Windows Server 2005, and 2008, Apple OSX Apple OSX Server
- Individual should possess at least 5 years experience working in the KY K-12 educational environment directly with the planning, deployment, and support of the above hardware and software as part of the educational and support needs of students, teachers, administrators, and staff.
- Working knowledge of mobility devices and support of wireless network environments.
EVALUATION:
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Chief Information Officer
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Salary commensurate with the Russell Independent Schools Classified Salary Schedule.
